Common questions

Are these revision notes really free?

Yes — every notes page is free to read with no sign-up, no email and no paywall. The workbooks are paid, and one-to-one tutoring is paid, but the notes themselves are open to anyone.

Which specification do these cover?

These pages follow Edexcel International GCSE Physics (4PH1). Most of the content is shared with Edexcel International GCSE Double Award Science, so they work for Double Award students too — the spec codes ending in P, and the sections marked physics only, are the ones Double Award students can skip.

What's the difference between IGCSE and GCSE physics?

The physics is largely the same, but the specifications group it differently and the IGCSE goes further in a few places — momentum and moments, for example. If you are sitting the UK AQA GCSE instead, use the AQA GCSE Physics notes.

Do the notes cover the practicals?

Yes. Pages marked practical set the experiment out step by step — the method, the measurements to take, the graph to plot, and the mistakes that cost marks in the exam.
