What are the Rates for Online Classes and 1 to 1 Physics Tutoring?

Closing the gap between Physics current grades and those needed for university or your A Levels

As a dedicated Physics tutor, my goal is to help you bridge the gap between your current performance and the grades you’re aiming for, whether it’s for A Levels, university entry, or gain a solid understanding in your science subjects. We’ll work together to strengthen your understanding of core concepts, tackle challenging problem areas, and refine your exam techniques to help you excel in every assessment. With tailored sessions focused on your unique needs, I’ll provide you with clear explanations, step-by-step problem-solving strategies, and insightful practice that builds confidence. Having taught thousands of students over 14 years in secondary school, along side examining for Edexcel and AQA, I am well placed to guide you on your journey.

What are your group Physics tutoring rates per hour?

I tutor small class sizes of similar ability students each week for £25 / hour where there will never be more than 6 in a class, though there could be less. This number is perfect for discussions when solving problems, which aid all in the group regardless of who asked the questions. The class tutoring is delivered using Teams and OneNote so that we can see each other to create a connection, and also share a white board and resources on OneNote. Each attendee will also receive an electronic workbook to accompany the course. Please use the contact form to arrange a phone call to discuss the level of your child, as a guide the classes are roughly split between those who have been predicted:

  • a grade 4 or below in their recent school exams and together we will work through the key concepts in the GCSE course. There are 7 topics and we will work through scenarios and past paper questions of the main areas underlying each topic.

  • a grade 5 or above so the students understand the concepts, and together we will review the detail involved and apply concepts to new situations and include those stretch and challenge grade 9 scenarios.

Depending on availability, students can switch between the classes

What are your one-to-one Physics tutoring rates per hour?

I tutor weekly for £80 / hour. This includes tutoring using Teams and OneNote so that we can see each other to create a connection, and also share a white board and resources on OneNote. I run 1 hour and 2 hourly sessions depending on your need and availability. There is usually a waiting list due to a limited number of slots after school for these sessions so do get in contact to discuss one-to-one tuition.

What are your value adds?

  • You will have access to our shared OneNote Notebook after each lesson, allowing you to refer back to it for effective revision.

  • Relevant and targeted homework is assigned and marked to help you practice and gain fluency in the topic covered. All marking is completed to examiner standards, as I have experience working as an external examiner in addition to my role as a school teacher.

  • I am always available to answer questions by text or phone.
